Jonathan Simnett has over 25 years experience – winning in excess of three dozen awards – in helping private and public sector clients in fast-growth, technology and business-to-business segments develop and deploy communications strategies to enter new markets, reposition or deal successfully with crises.

Most recently he led the team awarded ‘Global Communications Department of the Year’ at the 2009 International Business Awards, New York in his role as global director of communications for voice to text conversion specialist SpinVox (subsequently acquired by Nuance Inc.).

He was formerly vice chairman of Brodeur Worldwide, a global technology public relations and marketing communications consultancy. At Brodeur, he was part of the core team that built a company of nearly 650 people and $95 million turnover worldwide, over a period of 15 years before selling to Omnicom.

There, he also sat on the board in Europe (a $30 million entity), running, in turn, people and business development. Jonathan led the company to become one of the UK’s first Investors in People. He has also been a columnist in the US magazine Technology Marketing and Technology Marketing Insider Pass Newsletter.

He commenced his career as a research fellow in the Programme of Policy Research in Engineering, Science and Technology at the University of Manchester.
